KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to hold its 15th General Convention in Kathmandu on January 10–12, 2026. A meeting of the party’s Central Working Committee (CWC) held in Sanepa on Monday unanimously endorsed the timetable proposed by Acting President Purna Bahadur Khadka, according to NC Spokesperson Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat.

KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah (Balen) has been bereaved of his father. Ramnarayan Shah (77) passed away in Kathmandu on Monday. He had been undergoing treatment at Civil Hospital, New Baneshwar. Shah had fallen unconscious on Sunday morning after developing cardiac complications. He was taken to Civil Hospital while still unconscious.
