Interaction among senior journalists held

Kathmandu, Nov 30: Editor Society Nepal (ESON), also known as Nepal Sampadak Samaj, hosted a one-day interaction on Saturday honouring senior media professionals who have made remarkable contributions to the nation through active journalism.

Held at the Govinda Byogi Journalism Study Center in Suryachaur, Shivapuri 7, Nuwakot, with the theme “Our Stories from Those Days”, senior journalists shared their experiences and contributions in the field of journalism.

They discussed how journalism was practised in the past and how it is carried out today, and exchanged their personal reflections. They also expressed concerns over several online media, especially those operated with the help of YouTube platform, becoming irresponsible towards the journalism principle.

More than three dozen senior journalists, many of them attending with their spouses, thanked Editor Society Nepal for organizing a program that brought together colleagues who had not met for a long time.

Those present included senior journalists Purushottam Dahal, Kiran Vaidya, Puru Risal, Shyam Dotel, Ujwal Sharma, Tirtha Koirala, Devprakash Tripathi, Kulchandra Wagle, Tank Pant, Gokarna Aryal, Pushparaj Pradhan, Shantikrishna Adhikari, Jeevaram Bhandari, Junarbabu Basnet, among many others.
