Gold and silver prices rise again today

Kathmandu, January 13

Prices of gold and silver have continued to rise in the local market. Both gold and silver have recorded a sharp increase over the past three days.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold has reached Rs 276,500 per tola, while silver is being traded at Rs 5,340 per tola today.

Hallmark gold, which was traded at Rs 270,600 per tola on Sunday, rose by Rs 4,100 on Monday to reach Rs 274,700 per tola.

Similarly, the price of silver has also increased. Silver, which was traded at Rs 4,990 per tola on Sunday, was bought and sold at Rs 5,195 per tola on Monday.

Traders said prices have increased in the local market due to fluctuations in the US dollar and global economic uncertainty.

According to international media reports, gold is being traded at USD 4,588 per ounce in the international market today, while silver of the same quantity is trading at USD 84.
