The business of non-life insurers has increased by about 12.5 percent.

Kathmandu. Non-life insurers in the current fiscal year 2082. In the first four months of the fiscal year, the company has been able to do business of more than Rs 15.84 billion.

As per the information released by the Nepal Insurance Authority (NIA), 14 non-life insurance companies have earned Rs 15.84 billion in insurance premium by issuing 903,985 policies in the current fiscal year. Last year, 2081. As of mid-November 2018, the companies had issued 8,97,235 policies and earned a total of Rs 14.09 billion in premium. The company’s turnover increased by 12.42 percent in the review period compared to the previous year.

Compared to the previous year, the business of 11 insurers has increased while the business of three insurers has decreased. Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance has attracted the most business while Himalayan Airbeast Insurance has been ahead in terms of business growth in terms of business growth in the review period.

Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance has earned Rs 1.78 billion in insurance premiums in the current FY. The company had earned Rs 1.77 billion in total insurance premiums in the previous fiscal year. The company’s turnover increased by 0.38 percent in the review year compared to the previous year.

Shikhar Insurance has become the second largest business-buyer company. The company has earned a net profit of Rs 1.73 billion in the review period. The company had earned Rs 1.41 billion in total insurance premiums in the same period last year. The company’s business increased by 23.28 percent in the review period compared to the previous year.

Similarly, Himalayan Everest Insurance is the third largest businessholder in the market. The company has earned Rs 1.60 billion in total insurance premiums till mid-November of the current fiscal year. The company had earned Rs 1.14 billion in total insurance premiums in the previous fiscal year. The company’s turnover increased by 39.66 percent in the review period compared to the previous year.

Similarly, Siddhartha Premier Everest Insurance has collected Rs 1.54 billion in insurance premiums, IGI Prudential Insurance Rs 1.27 billion, NLG Insurance Rs 1.26 billion and Neco Insurance Rs 1.14 billion. Himalayan Siddhartha Premier Insurance Ltd (5.82 per cent), IGI Prudential Insurance (12.22 per cent), NLG Insurance (34.01 per cent) and Neco Insurance (0.39 per cent) increased in the review period.

Similarly, United Ajod Insurance has earned Rs 1.07 billion, Sanima GIC Insurance Rs 1.02 billion and Oriental Insurance Rs 92.40 million in total insurance in the current fiscal year. United Ajod grew by 27.80 per cent and Sanima GIC by 30.93 per cent, while Oriental Insurance lost 0.50 per cent during the review period.

In the review period, Nepal Insurance earned Rs 86.62 crore, Prabhu Insurance Rs 65.71 crore, National Insurance Rs 50.95 crore and National Insurance Rs 43.70 million. During the review period, Nepal Insurance Company Ltd (NLIC), Prabhu Insurance Ltd (4.71 per cent) and National Insurance Company Ltd (3.90 per cent) increased by 28.93 per cent in the review period.
