KATHMANDU: The Central Working Committee (CWC) of Nepali Congress, which was postponed repeatedly due to a lack of consensus over the timing of the general convention, is convening on Monday.
NC office bearers and some senior leaders had met at party president Sher Bahadur Deuba’s residence in Maharajgunj to discuss the convention on Sunday. In the meeting, leaders reportedly reached a consensus to organize the party’s 15th General Convention on January 10-13.
The CWC meeting is expected to announce the general convention schedule on Monday. Before that, Acting President Purna Bahadur Khadka will table the proposed schedule for approval at the meeting.
