ICAN signs MoU with Manipal University, Jaipur

Kathmandu. Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN) and Manipal University, Jaipur (MUJ) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on behalf of their respective organizations. The MoU has been signed to achieve the common objective of promoting academic and professional excellence through teaching, learning, study and research, professional development, exchange of resources and expansion of institutional network in accounting, auditing, finance, tax and its related subjects.

CA Nil Bahadur Saru Magar, Chairman of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal and Dr. Pramod Kumar Shrestha, Chairman of Manipal University, Jaipur, were present on the occasion. Niti Nipun Sharma signed.

The historic agreement will play an important role in creating a joint coordination mechanism for collaboration between the two institutions including mutual recognition of academic access and qualifications, joint research and academic development, specialized academic modules, access to resources, exchange of professors, experts and students, among others.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, ICAN President Nil Bahadur Saru Magar said that ICAN has accorded top priority to this initiative. This MoU will give our members the opportunity to earn an M.Com degree at MUJ and further develop their academic and research-oriented careers. We also look forward to expanding this collaboration into future-oriented areas such as artificial intelligence, microlearning, and other advanced educational innovations.” ’

He further added, “This collaboration with Manipal University, Jaipur will help the students and members of the institute to gain international level academic and technical knowledge and become globally competitive.”

MUJ President Dr. Policy expert Sharma said, “We are happy to formalize this partnership with ICAN.

“The high academic and professional standards established by ICAN enabled MUJ to offer a one-year discount to its programs in recognition of the capabilities of ICAN’s professionals. We look forward to having ICAN representatives participate as guest lecturers at MUG and facilitate meaningful educational exchanges.” This is just the beginning, we envision to expand this program and take it forward in an effective way,” he said.

This partnership will contribute significantly to direct benefits to both ICAN members and MUJ students and faculty by providing opportunities for knowledge sharing, academic strengthening, and mutual recognition.
