KATHMANDU: Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited has contributed Rs 15 million to the Physical Infrastructure Reconstruction Fund established by the Government of Nepal.

In a special ceremony held today at the Ministry of Finance, the company’s Chair of the Board, Govinda Lal Sangai, Director Kamlesh Kumar Agrawal, and CEO Praveen Raman Parajuli jointly handed over the cheque of Rs 15 million to Honorable Finance Minister Rameshwar Prasad Khanal.

The donation comes in the aftermath of the protests and demonstrations held across the country on Bhadra 23 and 24, which caused significant damage to public physical infrastructure.

The fund will support reconstruction, economic recovery, and relief efforts.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chair Sanghai highlighted that Nepal Life Insurance has been actively implementing various programs under its corporate social responsibility initiatives.

He expressed his happiness in contributing to the reconstruction of public infrastructure damaged during the demonstrations and reiterated the company’s commitment to supporting similar initiatives in the future.

Finance Minister Khanal expressed gratitude to Nepal Life Insurance for the donation, emphasizing that such contributions play a vital role in Nepal’s infrastructure development and are expected to continue in the days ahead.
