Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Force Chief Rajunath Pandey has resigned from his post. He submitted his resignation effective January 18.

“I have resigned with effect from January 18,” Pandey told Onlinekhabar. “I will remain in office until January 17.”

He is preparing to enter active politics and contest the House of Representatives election scheduled for March 5.
