KATHMANDU: Morang police have arrested five individuals for allegedly vandalizing government offices during the ‘Gen Z Movement’ on Bhadra 24.

The arrested individuals are Awas Paudel, Arun Sah, Rajiv Yadav, Mahesh Nepal, and Tajim Ansari. According to DSP Harinandan Chaudhary of Morang Police, all five are affiliated with various political parties.

They are currently held at the Morang District Police Office.

Police said they will extend the investigation period through the court to proceed with a case of “criminal unrest.”

The identities of those involved are being verified using photos and videos from the incident.

Earlier, 21 people had been arrested in connection with attacks on police posts and vehicles.
