Editor Peoples 22 hours ago

Kathmandu, the CPN UML has selected its delegates across the country for the party’s 11th General Convention. Around 2,200 delegates were chosen on Sunday through a peaceful process.

Rajendra Gautam, chief of the party’s publicity department, said most committees completed the selection today. He added that many committees picked their delegates through consensus, while a few held internal votes.

Gautam said the remaining stalled selections will also be wrapped up through voting. Each constituency will send four delegates, one each under the open, women, and youth categories.

The UML has instructed all committees to submit the list of selected delegates to the central office by Mangsir 15. The party’s General Convention is scheduled for Mangsir 27 to 29 in Bhaktapur.
