Kathmandu, Nov 29: Nepal was recognized as the Best Adventure Tourism Destination of the Year at the India International Travel Mart (IITM) 2025 in Pune. The award was received on behalf of the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) by Board Member Narendra Bhatta and Senior Officer Narayan Basnet during the event held from November 27 to 29.

At the “Destination Presentation” session, NTB Senior Officer Rabin Regmi delivered a compelling audio-visual showcase of Nepal’s diverse attractions, including the Buddha and Ramayana Circuits, cross-border eco-trails, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, spiritual pilgrimages, trekking and mountaineering opportunities, and a range of adventure activities.

Regmi highlighted that Nepal’s participation strengthened ties with the Indian tourism market and promoted the country as an “all-season destination” offering memorable experiences.

The NTB, alongside 15 leading travel-trade companies, presented unique Nepali tourism packages to Indian travel professionals and entrepreneurs during the three-day event, which attracted hundreds of participants from across the globe.

The Nepal Pavilion highlighted the nation’s cultural heritage, adventure hotspots, and hospitality. NTB CEO Deepak Raj Joshi said such international events will boost interest from Indian tourists and help establish Nepal as a top travel destination in the region.
