Senior editors recall their early days in the media

People's Review 21 hours ago

Kathmandu, November 30: Around 100 editors and their spouses gathered at the Late Govinda Biyogi Memorial Journalism Study Center in Suirechaur, Nuwakot, on Saturday, November 29, to reflect on the media environment of their time.

The Editors’ Society of Nepal (ESoN) organized the program titled “Stories From Our Time” (Ubelako Hamro Kura).

Participants were divided into different groups—political, socio-economic, technical, and others—for interactive discussions. It was a remarkable opportunity for senior journalists to share their experiences and insights into the journalism of their era.

Most of the senior journalists who contributed to bringing Nepali journalism to its present state participated in the event.

The program, held in Suirechaur with the presence of about 100 journalists, featured discussions on journalism during the political, economic, and technological circumstances of the past, as well as reflections on the state of journalism today.
