Kathmandu, Nov 30: Vice President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav attended a special ceremony on Saturday evening marking the 54th National Day of the UAE. Hosted by UAE Ambassador to Nepal Abdullah Saeed Mubarak Jarwan Al Shamsi, the event drew ministers, constitutional body chiefs, diplomats, senior officials, business leaders, UAE-based Nepalis, and journalists.

In brief remarks, Ambassador Al Shamsi said Nepal-UAE ties are grounded in mutual goodwill, respect, and shared interests, with both nations collaborating on climate action, global peace, and counterterrorism. He highlighted UAE support to Nepal during crises, including the 2015 earthquake, COVID-19, and floods. The ambassador also praised the Nepalese community in the UAE for contributing to economic growth in both countries and noted UAE assistance in renewable energy, tourism, infrastructure, and human resource development.

The event underscored the deepening partnership and continuing cooperation between Nepal and the UAE.
