NC leader urges EC to curb tech misuse in elections
KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress leader Min Bahadur Bishwakarma has urged the Election Commission to prevent the misuse of information technology during elections.
Speaking at a discussion on the election code of conduct organized by the Election Commission on Friday, he expressed concern over the rising misuse of social media and other digital platforms, which he said is undermining the electoral process.
Bishwakarma emphasized that the Election Commission should take immediate measures to control such misuse.
He also suggested that deploying international observers could help ensure proper monitoring of technology use during elections.
Additionally, he warned the Election Commission to remain vigilant against any misuse of the national flag during the electoral process.
