Kathmandu, Jan 1: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has urged the people not to forget their culture and to pass on original heritage to future generations.

During a meeting with a delegation of the Nepal Magar Sangh at Baluwatar, Prime Minister Karki emphasized the importance of preserving traditional customs, culture and values and ensuring their continuity among the youth.

The delegation, led by Sangh Chairperson Gyanendra Punmagar, had arrived to invite the Prime Minister to participate in a program scheduled to be held on the occasion of Maghe Sankranti.

Speaking during the interaction, Prime Minister Karki said that whether in politics or cultural representation, the youth should be given priority. “Our diverse original traditions and culture are precious treasures. They must be protected and handed over to the new generation,” she said.

Members of the delegation included office bearers of the association, cultural artists, and Genji engineers.
