Wicketnepal Team 1 week ago

In their first outing of the tournament at the TU International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Sudurpaschim bowled out Kathmandu for just 118 runs in 16.5 overs, putting on a disciplined all-round display.

For Kathmandu, only Aakash Tripathi (34) and John Simpson (24) offered resistance, as the rest of the batting lineup failed to build momentum despite chasing a manageable target.

Sudurpaschim’s bowling attack was led by Harmeet Singh, who delivered a brilliant spell of 2/21 in 4 overs, complementing his match-defining half-century with the bat. Hemant Dhami and Scott Kuggeleijn also picked up two wickets each, tightening the grip on Kathmandu throughout the innings.

Earlier, Sudurpaschim were bowled out for 147 in 20 overs after being sent in to bat.
Harmeet Singh top-scored with a blistering 53 off just 20 balls, while captain Dipendra Singh Airee made 39 off 30 deliveries. Aasif Sheikh (25) and Ishan Pandey (11) added useful contributions.

Kathmandu’s bowling attack was spearheaded by Karan KC, who took an impressive 4 wickets, while Sunny Patel, Milind Kumar, and Rashid Khan claimed two wickets each.

The result marks Sudurpaschim’s first win of the tournament and Kathmandu’s first loss, after the Gorkhas had defeated defending champions Janakpur Bolts by five wickets in the opening match.

Next Fixture (20th November):
Chitwan Rhinos vs Lumbini Lions — 4:00 PM, TU International Cricket Stadium.

Chitwan Rhinos have already opened their campaign with a solid win, defeating Karnali Yaks by four wickets in their first match.
