Iran drone attack hits US Embassy in Kuwait, sparks regional alarm

KATHMANDU: Iran launched a drone strike on the U.S. Embassy in Kuwait, sending smoke billowing around the diplomatic compound.
Earlier, air-raid sirens had been sounding across Kuwait for several hours, warning residents of potential attacks.
Debris from the nearby Mina Al Ahmadi oil refinery caused minor injuries to two workers, according to the Kuwait News Agency.
The strikes mark a new wave of Iranian attacks targeting U.S. assets in the Gulf, triggering sirens in Kuwait and Bahrain.
Explosions were reportedly heard in Doha, Qatar, and in Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the UAE.
