KATHMANDU: In Humla’s northern region, 102 election officials, security personnel, and army staff have been airlifted to remote polling stations in Chala of Namkha Rural Municipality–4 and Limik in Ward No.–6.

According to Assistant Chief District Officer Rajendra Kumar Chand, the personnel were transported via Nepal Army helicopters to ensure smooth election preparations.

The move comes as traveling on foot to these high-altitude Himalayan polling centers would be extremely challenging.

The helicopters carried election officers, assistant officers, other staff, and security personnel directly to three polling centers in Limi, guaranteeing timely setup ahead of the upcoming vote.
