Gold rises, silver falls in local market

KATHMANDU: In today’s local market, gold prices surged while silver declined. Compared to Monday, the price of gold increased by Rs 2,500 per tola, reaching Rs 328,600 per tola.
Meanwhile, silver fell by Rs 205, trading at Rs 5,815 per tola.
According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Traders Association, Monday’s rates were Rs 326,100 per tola for gold and Rs 6,020 per tola for silver.
On the international market, an ounce of gold is trading at USD 5,278, while the same amount of silver is valued at USD 95.
