KATHMANDU: At least four Palestinians have been killed in two separate incidents in Gaza City following heavy rainfall and strong winds that battered the region, local sources said.

Meanwhile, a 50-year-old woman lost her life in a flood-related accident in East Jerusalem.

According to eyewitnesses, three people — including a woman and a child — were killed when a seaside wedding hall in Gaza City collapsed due to severe weather conditions.

The building had been serving as a shelter for people displaced by the ongoing conflict.

In a separate incident, a woman died after a wall collapsed in western Gaza City during a powerful storm, Palestinian medical sources confirmed.

Gaza’s Civil Defense spokesperson, Mahmoud Basal, warned that many buildings in the area are no longer safe for residents due to prolonged rainfall and strong winds, calling for urgent safety measures.

Meanwhile, Israel’s emergency rescue service, Magen David Adom, reported that a woman in her 50s died in East Jerusalem after being struck by heavy debris inside her flooded home.

She was rushed to the hospital but later succumbed to her injuries.

Israeli police said flooding has blocked several major roads in both southern and northern parts of the country, and at least 10 people have been rescued from flood-affected areas.
