UML Bagmati Committee launches special election campaign
KATHMANDU: The Bagmati Province Committee of the CPN (UML) has announced that preparations for a special election campaign ahead of the upcoming House of Representatives polls are complete.
The announcement was made at a press conference held today at the party’s central office in Chyasal.
The campaign will kick off on Magh 4 with a public rally starting at Bhrikuti Mandap, Kathmandu, and proceeding to the Nepal Academy in Kamaladi for a concluding assembly.
The event will be addressed by UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli.
UML Secretary and Bagmati Province in-charge Mahesh Basnet said the province-level campaign is progressing rapidly and urged the government to ensure a safe environment for the elections.
Bagmati Province Committee Chair Kailash Dhungel emphasized that the UML views the election as an opportunity to restore democratic practices in the country.
