KATHMANDU: Former Chairperson of the Bibeksheel Sajha Party, Milan Pandey, has said that he is not involved in the ongoing unification with the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).

In a social media post, Pandey said he would take a political “cooling period” for some time before moving forward in a new way. “Best wishes to all friends who are working on the unification of Bibeksheel Sajha and the RSP. I am not part of this unification. I will now take a ‘cooling period’ for some time (a few days or a few months). After that, I will begin my political journey in a new manner,” he said. “From today, I too am ‘independent’. Bibeksheel has also become ‘independent’.”

Bibeksheel Sajha Party last week decided to merge with the RSP unconditionally. A formal unification ceremony has been planned for Sunday.
